Tenerife disposes of a pleasant climate throughout the year. The variety of the landscape is overwhelming. Only at very few places you can drive within one hour from sea-level up to 2.200-metre. In wintertime the top of Teide is often covered with snow. At the same time you can enjoy the sun and pleasant water temperature at the Oceanside.

Especially walkers favourite the Tenerife Island. Various guides are offering their different tours.  In a rent a car the whole island can be explored individually and comfortably.  Alternatively public transport offers a well developed bus net, which is frequently used by wanderers.

Golfers can use several very nice and cultivated golf courts. Very popular in the north is the Buenavista golf resort, built by Severiano Balesteros. Besides this, there is another short court in Puerto de la Cruz and the Club Real de Golf in Guamasa. More areas in the South do complete the wide range of golf facilities.

Tenerife is also well known by racing cyclists to pass height training units. In the Cañadas at the foot of Teide are well developed country roads in an altitude of about 2000 metre from sea level. In winter 2008 even Lance Armstrong and his team have been training there.
